Louis is an indispensable member of the team, he is the beating heart behind the Piave business who has led the company with passion, honesty, and coffee for the last 30 years alongside his late brother in-law Anthony Schieven. Always focused on quality, he prides himself on his hands-on approach and unwavering commitment to deliver on expectations.

He has huge respect and admiration for all his workforce, including subcontractors and suppliers, as we are all striving for the same goal and collaboration allows for even greater success.

Michael is a third generation Crema, who believes 100MPa concrete runs through his veins. He stays true to the spirit in which the company began, leading with passion, determination, and authenticity. He respects where the business has come from, whilst looking ahead to where the business will go. He is passionate about bringing in new technology and staying at the forefront of new trends and best practices.

When Michael is not in a hard hat and high vis he is outside gardening, playing with his kids or throwing a Barbell around.

Maurice has been in the Piave business since its inception and has worked within Crema Group for over 35 years and three generations. He is as down to earth as they come, easily accessible and responsive and ready to help wherever he can.

He has a passion for trucks whether that be a tipper or agi and is always looking on how to improve our ever-growing fleet.

As the son of founder Anthony Schieven, conrete runs in Justin’s blood. With the company since 2018, he strives to uphold his fathers legacy in everything that he does at Piave, exceeding our customers expectations, and driving them to come back for more of Melbourne’s finest concrete, no matter what it takes. As Plant Manager, Justin has expert knowledge on all of our mixes, and ensures strict quality control is upheld at all times. His

Justin loves forming genuine relationships with customers and continually learning new things every day to help propel Piave to new heights, alongside his family and the rest of the tight knit team.

Joining Piave in October 2018, Howard is a specialist concrete technologist with over 34 years in the concrete industry. With a significant record in R&D and innovation he has particular expertise in the design, development, implementation, quality control and testing of very high strength, high stiffness, low shrinkage, super workable concrete products for use in the construction of very tall and slender towers. He is also a specialist in environmentally friendly Green Star concrete.

Prior to joining Piave, Howard was National Manager of Concrete Technology at Grocon Pty Ltd. During his 26-year tenure at Grocon, he was responsible for the design and successful pumping of concrete strengths in excess of 150MPa for the 300 metre tall Eureka Tower. He was also responsible for the development, quality control and testing of ‘Pixelcrete’ concrete for the Pixel Building in Melbourne, Australia, the first carbon neutral building in the world. He also spent time in Dubai developing 120MPa concrete for Grocon’s tender for the Burj Khalifa. Howard has a passion for concrete and enjoys pushing its boundaries to create value for our clients.

Topaz is a third generation Crema who now manages all things admin at Piave. Don’t be fooled though, she might be in head office behind a computer, but over the last five years she’s also honed the skills to batch concrete and make it up to slump. Topaz loves working closely with her big brother, cousins, and father and sees them as her biggest inspiration, watching them in the field and learning everything she can through the experiences they’ve had. She is always up for a challenge and is dedicated to evolving Piave to be even bigger and better for the future.
